Coming to Chelsea Outpatient Centre

To ensure your registration is smooth and stress-free please:

1. Read the HCA Patient Registration Guide

This guide clearly details the terms and conditions of admission for insured and self-funding patients, as well as containing information on the Data Protection Act 1998. Request a Patient Registration Guide if you haven't received one already.

2. Return your Registration Form

Please check that you have completed the correct paperwork.  If your appointment was booked in advance, some of your forms can be returned to us ahead of your appointment using the pre-paid envelope provided.  Please note, you cannot be seen in Chelsea Outpatient Centre until these forms are completed.

3. Double check your appointment time

Please ensure you arrive in good time for your appointment at Chelsea Outpatient Centre.

Once you are home

If you or your carer experiences any difficulties out-of-hours following a visit to the centre, contact The Lister Hospital on +44 (0)20 7730 7733. A senior nurse in charge of the hospital will be able to answer any of your queries.

Payment info

Chelsea Outpatient Centre caters for people paying for their own treatment, sponsored by their company, organisation or embassy, or those with private medical cover from all major insurance companies.

Privately insured patients

Chelsea Outpatient Centre has agreements covering most UK medical insurance schemes but you should check with your insurer before coming in for any medical treatment.

Self-funding patients

If you’re paying for your treatment yourself, we require payment in full at or before the time of treatment.

Making payments

Payment may be made by debit or credit card, bank transfer or cash. Chelsea Outpatient Centre will provide an invoice for all charges made against your card together with your credit card voucher.

Cash payments should be made in Pounds Sterling (£).

Payment responsibilities

Our payment terms are strictly net on receipt of invoice; that payment is due immediately. The Centre's policy is to require payment in full at the time of treatment, on all accounts not guaranteed by an approved third party. Interest may be charged at the rate of 12% per annum on all accounts where credit has not been granted and there are delays in payment.

No brochures currently available.

Your consultant will ensure you fully understand your illness and are fully aware of all the best treatment options available to you, as well as informing you of any potential risks and benefits.

Where necessary, patients may be asked to consent in writing to some diagnostic tests before undergoing them – if you have any concerns, you’re still able to change your mind at any time.

At Chelsea Outpatient Centre we have access to The Lister Hospital’s inpatient services and facilities should you need them.  When necessary, and in the best clinical interests of our patients, we also have access to The Lister Hospital’s sister hospitals and outpatient centres, which are all part of HCA Healthcare.
