Deborah Boyle trained at Sheffield University as an undergraduate and subsequently moved to London for postgraduate training in obstetrics and gynaecology.

Awarded an MD in 2000 for her thesis, Does bacterial vaginosis cause cervical intraepithelial neoplasia’, and MRCOG in the same year, she was appointed as consultant at the Royal Free Hospital in 2007. Dr Boyle has also been a diplomat of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health since 1996.

Her current NHS role at the Royal Free Hospital is as Consultant Gynaecologist with specialist clinics in vulval disease/disorders, colposcopy and cancer diagnostics.

Miss Boyle has combined interests in vulval disease, gynae-oncology, sexual and reproductive health and gynaecological diagnostics. She has published in all these areas. Her most recent publication, Religion and Medicine’ is designed for healthcare providers and those with an interest in the interface between religious belief and the delivery of healthcare.
