Sam Gidwani is a consultant hand and wrist surgeon and head of the orthopaedic department at Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospitals. Before becoming a consultant, he completed his orthopaedic training in London, and spent two years working and training in specialist hand and wrist units, including at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford, Pulvertaft Hand Centre in Derby and Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane, Australia.

In his current role, Sam’s practice remains focused on disorders of the hand, wrist and forearm. He was awarded the Postgraduate Diploma in Hand Surgery, by the British Society for Surgery of the Hand (BSSH), in 2011.
