Diabetology is the study and treatment of diabetes mellitus. It may be considered a specialised field of endocrinology. At Chelsea Outpatient Centre we can diagnose and treat patients according to their individual needs, and monitor their progress to prevent long term complications.
Professor R David Leslie MD FRCP
Professor David Leslie is Consultant Endocrinologist at The Lister Hospital where he specialises in general medicine and endocrinology, specifically diabetes.
He is a Member of the NIH Advisory Board on the Prevention of Diabetes and Co-Editor of Diabetes Metabolism Research and Reviews, amongst others.

Mr James Smellie MD FRCS
Mr Smellie is a Consultant Endocrine Surgeon and specialises in thyroid surgery, thyroid cancer, goitres, thyrotoxicosis, parathyroid surgery and adrenal surgery.

Dr Mark Vanderpump MB ChB MD FRCP
Dr Vanderpump is a Consultant Endocrinologist who specialises in thyroid disease, diabetes and endocrinology. He also undertakes medico-legal work within this speciality.
